Why new? Why now? Join us for our 'meet the experts' event

Discover why now is the time to sell your old property and buy a brand new, energy efficient Anwyl home in Llay near Wrexham. Anwyl is hosting a special event from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, December 1 at Maes y Rhedyn, with festive mulled wine and mince pies. Experts will be on hand to explain about some of the sustainable and cost-saving features of the homes and guide potential purchasers through green mortgages. For those with an existing property to sell, moving specialists will also be available to talk about the help on offer through Anwyl’s Move Simple scheme. Almost everyone is looking for ways to reduce their impact on the planet and their household bills. Switching from an older property to a brand new home could be the solution to both issues, without having to worry about the cost or disruption of a renovation. Recent figures released by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) show that, on average, new houses save occupiers £216 a month or £2,600 a year (63%) on their energy bills compared to their older equivalents. Every new Anwyl home guarantees a minimum EPC rating of B, some even higher, making them some of the most energy efficient on the market. It also means buyers could be eligible for a green mortgage with more favourable terms such as a slightly lower interest rate, cashback – or both. During our special event at Maes y Rhedyn we’ll have our in-house experts on hand to explain to buyers what makes our homes more energy efficient and therefore cheaper to run. Plus, independent financial advisors who have access to the whole mortgage market will be available to provide free advice including details of green mortgage products. If that wasn’t enough, an independent expert from House to Home will be available to guide potential purchasers through a scheme that helps them to sell their current home so they can buy a new Anwyl home. We’ll also be showing festive family film favourite ‘Elf’ in the show home, and setting up a Christmas colouring station to keep the children entertained while parents and carers chat to our experts. Visitors to the event can also take a photo at Anwyl’s “Christmas selfie station” and tag @anwyl.homes, also including the hashtag #AnwylChristmas on Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win a £200 Marks and Spencer voucher*. Maes y Rhedyn, located on Straight Mile Road, offers good choice of three and four-bedroom homes available with prices from £284,995. Externally they look very traditional, while inside they’re very much designed with modern living in mind. Anwyl’s thoughtful, forward-thinking approach embeds energy efficiency at the point of construction with features including high quality loft and wall insulation, energy efficient boilers, radiators and appliances, low energy lightbulbs and water restrictors on taps. Anwyl is also selling homes at its newly launched Summers Bridge development in Deeside from the Maes y Rhedyn sales office. So those looking for an energy efficient new home in Flintshire are also encouraged to attend the event.
