# Celebrating a century in Heywood

A major milestone has been reached at a housing development in Heywood.
We’ve achieved more than 100 reservations at [Whittle Brook Park](https://www.anwylhomes.co.uk/our-developments/whittlebrookpark), part of the wider West Hopwood scheme.
It comes ahead of the third anniversary of show homes opening.
Imogen Suffell, area sales manager, said: “Passing the 100-homes sold mark at Whittle Brook is a cause for celebration. The site is almost unrecognisable from when the show home opened in late 2023. Most of the properties are now occupied and there are now fewer than 20 left to sell. Demand remains strong, with buyers drawn to the quality of our homes and the energy efficient features. They also love the idea of being part of a wider new community that will eventually feature employment space, a local centre, primary school, extensive public open space and sports pitches.”
There are five house types available – two styles of three-bedroom semi-detached designs and a choice of three different four-bedroom detached homes.
There are two homes ready to move into – a three-bedroom semi-detached Barrowford, available from £336,995, and a four-bedroom detached Newburgh, priced at £483,995.
“Powered by [air source heat pumps](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD8tboHzVHs) and solar panels, our new homes in Heywood are among the most energy efficient available,” Imogen added.
“Buy now and you could be settled in and cosy before the colder weather sets in.”
The homes also benefit from electric vehicle charging points.
The energy efficiency of the homes means they can potentially be purchased with “green mortgages”, which may offer better rates or cash back. Plus, as energy bills are likely to be lower, there may be the potential to borrow more.
Our new homes in Heywood are in the catchment area for a choice of schools, plus there are restaurants nearby and plenty of shopping options including Times Retail Park, Heywood Market and the Trafford Centre all within easy reach. The hills, woodlands and moors of the Peak District are around a 40-minute drive for those who want to explore the great outdoors.
Manchester city centre is easily accessible via nearby Castleton train station or Bury tram stop, which offers a park and ride service.
