Anwyl Homes has earned its 14th consecutive award for health and safety.

The homebuilder, with offices in Ewloe, Flintshire, and Buckshaw Village, Lancashire, scooped the President’s Award at the annual RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, reserved for companies who have won more than 10 consecutive Gold Awards.

The most recent award was bestowed for Anwyl’s health and safety performance in 2025.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Awards, which began as a small event to recognise the achievements of companies prioritising the safety of workers in UK. It now attracts 2,000 entries from nearly 60 countries.

Mathew Harrison, Group HSE director at Anwyl, said: “We’re immensely proud to have received our 14th consecutive Gold RoSPA award. Health and safety is paramount when building new homes and is something everyone across every department of Anwyl takes very seriously. The award recognises the ongoing commitment to health and safety from everyone working across the business.”

Entrants to the RoSPA Awards come from organisations of all sizes, ranging from SMEs to blue chip companies.

The application process enables entrants to enhance their health and safety standards by encouraging best practice and continued learning to reduce workplace accidents.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s growth director, said: “RoSPA congratulates Anwyl on their RoSPA Health and Safety Award. The high standards Anwyl has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication, of which the company should be rightfully proud and which RoSPA is delighted to honour. 2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come in 70 years. It’s because of the commitment of health and safety leaders like Anwyl that people today are safer at work than in the past, and sets an inspiring example for the future.”

Founded more than 95 years ago as a joinery firm, Anwyl Homes has grown into a leading regional housebuilder, delivering around 800 new homes each year across the North West and North Wales.

The company directly employs around 250 people across its head offices and sites as well as hundreds more subcontractors and suppliers.
