Neighbours and community groups came together for a celebration event at a new homes development in Chester. The ‘ Get Together on The Green’ was hosted by Anwyl Homes to bring the new community together at its Deva Green development, off Clifton Drive. Six months after Anwyl officially opened the doors to its new sales office and show homes at Deva Green, the homebuilder invited new homeowners and community groups it’s supported through its ‘Love from Anwyl’ Chester fund, for an afternoon of fun, food, and games. Hannah George, regional marketing manager for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said:
“Our get together on the green was a brilliant way to bring our new and future residents together at Deva Green, along with others who are doing such wonderful work to support the local community. It was also a chance for our Anwyl colleagues and suppliers, who have all played their part in making the development a success, to celebrate with new homeowners.
“We enjoyed musical entertainment from local singer Alex Green and giant garden games, while pizza, grazing boards and sweets were also served up for guests. It was a really fun afternoon, which showed the fantastic community spirit that is already forming at Deva Green.”
Anwyl donated more than £5,000 to the local community before the development launched, including sports teams and voluntary organisations. This included support for Chester charity KidsBank, who received £1,000 from the fund, plus many donations from Anwyl staff for its ‘One More Gift’ appeal last Christmas. Cathy Pettingale, founder and director of operations at KidsBank Chester, said:
“Anwyl’s funding and generous donation have helped us to assist the most vulnerable within our society and support the residents to live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives. It was lovely to catch up with the Anwyl team at their community event and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them.”
Anwyl is building 142 new homes at Deva Green, off Clifton Drive, which will eventually feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom designs. Watch a clip from the event on YouTube. To find out more about the development, visit Deva Green.
