Brownies boosted by homebuilder's funding

A Chester Brownie pack has received a donation from a local homebuilder to cover the costs of equipment and activities. The 12th Chester (St Marks) Brownies applied for help from Anwyl Homes’ ‘Love from Anwyl’ Chester fund. The pack, based at St Marks Church Hall in Saltney, received £500 from the pot, which has been used towards new uniforms, trips out, and activities. Beth Jones, one of the Brownie pack leaders, said:
“As a long-running Brownie pack, we have members join from across the area. The help we’ve received from Anwyl has enabled us to continue offering a memorable and educational experiences for our Brownies.
“As well as helping us provide financial support for parents towards uniforms, the funding has been used for fun activities outside the church hall. Taking the girls out to complete their badges makes it a more exciting for them and is a key part of their learning and development.
“We pride ourselves on the work we do as a pack, and we greatly appreciate the support from Anwyl to continue this.”
Brownies welcomes all girls from seven to 10 years old for fun, learning and adventure. The £500 donation to the 12th Chester Brownies is one of several grants distributed by Anwyl from its ‘Love from Anwyl’ funding pot to help local not-for-profit organisations close to its development at Deva Green, Chester. Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said:
“Brownies provides brilliant opportunities for girls across the area to meet friends, learn skills and enjoy new experiences. We’re so pleased we could play a small part in helping our local Brownie unit to offer more activities and support to their members.”
