The first wave of our new homes – part of a new community in Nantwich – will be released for sale on Saturday, April 25.

We recently acquired the site off Peter De Stapleigh Way, named Weaver Forge, and will be bringing 40 new homes to the area as part of the wider Maylands Park development.

Homes at Weaver Forge will initially be released for sale remotely from our Elmy Fields development in Congleton. The first properties are expected to be ready to move into later this year.

Graeme Gibb, sales director at Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “We’re excited to bring our latest development in Cheshire to market in the highly sought-after town of Nantwich, with a superb range of homes available.

“We’ll be opening a sales centre on site later this year. In the meantime, we’ll be welcoming those interested in our new Nantwich homes to our sales centre in nearby Congleton, where our friendly team can give them all the information they need.”

The launch event for Weaver Forge will take place from 11am to 4pm, on April 25, at Elmy Fields, off Wolstenholme Elmy Way, Congleton. Baked treats will be available to welcome visitors alongside a choice of coffee, tea and soft drinks.

Building work at Weaver Forge is being overseen by award-winning site manager Neil Lally. A site manager for 29 years, Neil joined the housebuilding industry aged just 16 as a bricklaying apprentice and has a track record of winning National Home Building Council (NHBC) Quality Awards. Last year he won his second award in a row for his role leading the site team at our Queen’s Meadow development in Shavington, cementing his place as one of the best site managers in the country.

Graeme added: “Nantwich is a wellconnected, popular location, and we’re really looking forward to bringing our homes to the area to meet local need. With Neil managing the team on site, our purchasers can be assured that their new home will reach the highest quality standards.

“The range of homes on offer, including affordable homes, will also meet the diverse needs of the local community. Among the first homes to go on sale at Weaver Forge will be the four-bedroom Marford and the Cartmel house types. Both of these designs are already open to view at Elmy Fields in the form of our Cartmel show home and Marford view home.”

Linked to the new homes, we will invest more than £275,000 in the local area in the form of section 106 community contributions, agreed during the planning process.

This includes almost £110,000 allocated for secondary education; a special educational needs contribution of around £75,000; more than £56,000 for recreation and outdoor sport facilities; with £36,000-plus for healthcare.

Along with homes for private sale, 30% of the development will be designated as affordable housing.

The development name Weaver Forge gives a nod to the nearby River Weaver, which played a key role in Nantwich’s trade and salt industry, with “Forge” reflecting the town’s industrial history.

New homes being built at Weaver Forge range from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom detached family homes.
