New neighbours in Heywood enjoyed a picnic and entertainment “on the house”.
With around half of the 120 new homes at Whittle Brook Park now sold, we hosted a picnic so that residents could get to know each other.
Area sales manager Amy Houlihan said: “At Anwyl Homes we're committed to building more than just homes, we’re passionate about creating places where people truly want to live.
“Events like our summer picnic at Whittle Brook Park give us the chance to check in with our residents, support them in settling in and help nurture the strong sense of community that makes new neighbourhood thrive. While people tend to meet their immediate neighbours organically, the event was an opportunity for those already living at Whittle Brook Park, or soon to move in, to meet each other with the help of our sales team.
“The day was a great success, with children enjoying the garden games, conversations flowing over tasty food and drinks and live music. It was a real reminder of why we do what we do.”
T-level business students from Hopwood Hall College who’ve been on weekly placements at Whittle Brook Park helped organise the event.
“We’re grateful to Hopwood Hall College students for their help in planning the event and their support on the day. Some of their tutors attended and were also pleased with their efforts,” Amy added.

Catering was provided by Let’s Go Grazey with Rachael Ward from All Things Acoustic performing throughout the afternoon.
For those hoping to move to the new community, Whittle Brook Park offers a choice of three, four and five-bedroom energy efficient new homes with air source heat pumps and solar panels, plus electric vehicle charging points.
Whittle Brook Park is part of the wider West Hopwood scheme, which once complete will comprise around 1,000 new homes, plus a range of local amenities.
“People who’ve already made Whittle Brook Park their home are excited about the future of the area – the new community will eventually feature employment space, a local centre, new primary school, extensive public open space and sports pitches,” Amy added.
“Residents are keen to help set the tone for the new neighbourhood and make it a lovely place to live.”
