Congleton community invited to apply for share of £5,000 fund

Good causes in Congleton are being encouraged to apply for a share of our £5,000 Love From Anwyl community fund.

We’re offering the voluntary funding pot linked to our Elmy Fields development, off Wolstenholme Elmy Way in the Cheshire market town.

The first phase of the fund will open on June 29, with applications accepted until July 24, 2026.

Phoebe Davies, head of regional marketing at Anwyl Homes, said: “We’re proud to announce the launch of Love From Anwyl in Congleton to support the growing community near our Elmy Fields development. As a good neighbour, we feel it’s important to give back to the communities we build in and support the people and organisations that make a real difference locally.

“We’re inviting applications from charities, schools and not-for-profit groups across Congleton and the surrounding area to tell us how we can help support their projects.”

Our Love From Anwyl Congleton fund will total £5,000, which will be distributed in phases.

Phoebe added: “We’re keen to support as many projects as possible, so we’ll be sharing the funding across a range of initiatives. This could include supporting foodbanks, providing equipment for schools or youth organisations, funding activities for people with additional needs, improving community facilities or helping deliver local events.

“In other areas, Love From Anwyl has funded everything from musical instruments for schools to improvements for Scouts groups and support for adults with learning disabilities.”

Grants of up to £1,500 are available per project.

Love From Anwyl is a voluntary initiative run in connection with the 120 homes we’re building at Elmy Fields; a development set within green open space with new landscaping and community features.

It forms part of our wider commitment to investing in the local area alongside its new homes.

To apply, groups can download an application form at www.anwylhomes.co.uk/love-from-anwyl-congleton/. The deadline for submissions is midnight on July 24, 2026.
