Good causes in Shavington, Crewe and Nantwich have the chance to share £5,000 ‘Love From Anwyl’.

We’re offering the voluntary funding pot linked to our Queen’s Meadow development.

Phoebe Davies, head of regional marketing, explained: “This part of East Cheshire is growing rapidly with hundreds of new homes and community facilities being created. We’re giving back to the community through the Love from Anwyl initiative with a total of £5,000 available.”

We want to support as many projects as possible and so there’s a cap on the grants being offered of £1,500 per applicant.

“We want to know all about the great community projects in Shavington and the surrounding area and to support as many of them as we can with a financial donation,” Phoebe added.

“If you’re part of a charity or not-for-profit organisation we want to help. In other areas we’ve helped foodbanks support people in need, provided musical instruments for schools, given funding for activities for adults with learning disabilities, enabled Scouts to improve their facilities and much more.”

Love From Anwyl is a voluntary scheme attached to the 84 new homes we’re building across eight acres of land on Newcastle Road. Queen’s Meadow is part of the wider Shavington Triangle project and represents the third and final phase.

It’s in addition to almost £600,000 worth of community contributions we have already agreed to, including £70,000 towards recreation and outdoor sports, £225,000 towards educational provision, over £80,000 towards local NHS healthcare provision, £20,000 towards community facilities within Shavington-Cum-Gresty Parish Council, £20,000 towards community facilities within Wynbunbury Parish Council, an affordable housing contribution of almost £11,500 and a community infrastructure levy of £180,000.
