Aerial photography reveals progress of new homes in Ingol

New aerial photography just released shows how work is progressing at a housing development in Ingol while revealing the leafy location.

Plans for 164 new homes on land previously part of Ingol Golf Course were unanimously approved by Preston City Council’s planning committee in February last year.

Infrastructure works began last summer and, with the first homes at Walkers Glade starting to take shape, a temporary sales centre recently opened on site giving buyers the opportunity to reserve “off plan”.

There’s a wealth of resources available to support buyers in their decision making, both on our website and in the sales centre, including virtual tours of the development and inside individual properties. We’ve also released aerial photography to showcase the location and how work is progressing.

Around 15 acres of the 27-acre site on Tanterton Hall Road will be public open space and woodland, with a central play area providing a focal point.

Imogen Suffell, area sales manager, said: “Walkers Glade is an exciting new neighbourhood, where the homes will enjoy a lovely leafy setting. The new drone photography really showcases the location as it gives a fresh perspective on the development and one buyers don’t usually get to see. These pictures, along with virtual tours where you can explore the development and inside the homes, can help buyers picture where they could soon be living.

Across Walkers Glade there will be a good selection of three, four and five-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes for sale.

Current availability includes six different styles of three and four-bedroom homes. Pre-show home prices are from £294,995 for a three-bedroom detached Bunbury.

We’re working towards opening show homes in late summer/ early autumn. We expect to welcome the first residents into their new homes in Ingol around the same time.

Studying the site plan is a great way to identify exactly which home you want to purchase and taking early action usually means more choice in terms of the style of property and its position,” Imogen explained.

Homes are released for sale in line with the build programme and mortgage offer periods. If the property you want isn’t available yet, you may be able to make an early bird reservation, giving you first refusal on a home coming up for release.

The homes at Walkers Glade are among the most energy efficient available and will include electric vehicle charging points. They’re potentially more than £600 a year cheaper to run than older properties, according to research by the HBF and Octopus Energy.
