# Popular development in Ellesmere Port continues to thrive

 Anwyl homes latest development in Ellesmere Port is proving popular with more than half of the homes now sold. Located off Rossbank Road, The Oaks at Rossbank will eventually feature 130 new homes for private sale as well as a new multi-use games area, football pitch and areas of green open space to be enjoyed by residents. Building work is overseen by project manager Ian Palmer, who won a ‘Quality’ Award at the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards earlier this year – his sixth in a row, and third while working at The Oaks.
Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said:

> Ian has maintained excellent quality standards on site and deservedly won three Pride in the Job awards here, which is an exceptional feat. Future customers can be assured our homes here are being built by one of the best in the business."
The properties at The Oaks are located close to an array of amenities including local shops, The Ellesmere Port Sports Village, the superb green spaces at Rivacre Valley Country Park and the shopping and leisure attractions of Cheshire Oaks.
Graeme added:
> “In addition to excellent local amenities, all our homes come with in-built energy efficiency, giving them the edge over the second-hand market. Moving home could potentially mean buyers save thousands of pounds on their energy bills every year.”
Latest figures from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) show that homeowners living in new houses save £180 a month on energy bills, compared with those living in older properties. That works out at more than £2,200 a year. Anwyl’s thoughtful, forward-thinking approach embeds energy efficiency at the point of construction with features including high quality loft insulation and wall insulation from below floor level to reduce heat loss, which is not possible when retrofitting insulation in an older property. Homes also feature energy efficient boilers, radiators and appliances, low energy lightbulbs and water efficient taps and showers.
The Oaks is perfect for commuters, just a short drive from junction 8 of the M53, within nine miles of Chester city centre and close to Overpool train station with regular trains to Liverpool in 38 minutes. Current availability includes three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes, with prices starting from £229,995. Two show homes are open to view Thursday to Monday, from 10am to 5.30pm.
