Energy bills could be reduced by £2,200 a year with a switch to a new home in Eccleston.
We’re highlighting the potential savings available to buyers at its Parr Meadows development. Homes there score the top energy performance certificate rating of A, making them among the most efficient available.
A small number of properties will soon be ready to move into, meaning homeowners could save on their energy bills this winter.
Area sales manager Imogen Suffell said: “Rising energy prices in recent years mean people are increasingly looking at ways they can reduce their household bills. Those living in an older property may be considering adding insulation, replacing windows or upgrading their boiler, but that takes time, money and energy. Our energy efficient new homes offer substantial savings – according to data from the Homebuilders Federation this could be £183 a month or £2,200 annually.
“The actual savings could even be more as our new homes in Eccleston include solar panels, which could generate up to 50% of the property’s energy, helping reduce bills further. They also include increased insulation, plus electric vehicle charging points. All of these factors mean they’re predicted to score the top EPC rating of A, a standard very few older properties meet.”
Current prices at Parr Meadows start from £474,995 for a four-bedroom Cheltenham.
It’s a spacious home, offering three floors of thoughtfully planned living space.
At ground level there’s a living room at the front, with the combined kitchen, dining and family room opening out to the rear garden. There’s a dedicated laundry space and a cloakroom at this level.
Three bedrooms, including one with en-suite, are on the first floor, along with the family bathroom.
The main bedroom, with en-suite, encompasses the entire top floor, offering parents a space where they can retreat from the hustle and bustle of family life.
“Buying a home set out over three floors, like the Cheltenham, is a great option for people keen to follow a sustainable lifestyle. This type of configuration makes clever use of the footprint of the property, to provide generously proportioned rooms. Homes set out over three floors are often competitively priced compared with similar sized properties set out over two floors,” Imogen added.
“Plus, you can set your heating in zones, adjusting the timing and temperature to your needs. Experts recommend that every time you go up a floor, the thermostat should be one degree lower than at the previous level.”
