# Milestone for new homes in Winnington

Work to transform part of a business park in Cheshire is progressing well with around 75% of new homes now sold.
We acquired two parcels of land at the former Winnington Business Park site from FI Real Estate Management in early 2020. In September that year plans for the initial 124 homes, together with landscaping, public open space, roads and associated infrastructure were approved.
The first properties at [Winnington Place](https://www.anwyl.co.uk/our-developments/winningtonplace) were released for sale in February 2021.
Plans for the second phase of 103 homes were approved in June 2023.
Now, around three-quarters of the private sale properties have been sold and we’re encouraging potential purchasers to act fast to avoid disappointment.
Area sales manager Amy Houlihan said: “What was once home to a business park has been transformed into a new neighbourhood, providing much-needed new homes in Winnington.
“We’ve welcomed dozens of homeowners to Winnington Place, including a mix of first time buyers, families and downsizers. Part of the appeal is the convenience of living in an easy to manage, energy efficient new home you can put your own stamp on, even before it’s built. Buyers also love the location and being part of a new community within an established neighbourhood, with good commuter links. These factors combined have made our homes in Winnington a popular choice with a range of purchasers.
“We anticipate we’ll be building here into 2026, but based on the sales rate we’ve achieved so far, we’d encourage potential purchasers to contact us without delay. Some people have already identified properties towards the end of the build programme that they’re interested in purchasing and are simply waiting for them to be released for sale.”
Current availability at Winnington Place includes a choice of three-bedroom semi-detached homes, priced from £275,995, with four-bedroom semi-detached and detached designs priced from £300,995.
The homes are among the most efficient available, scoring the top Energy Performance Certificate rating of A, with the potential for buyers to save more than £1,980\* a year on their energy bills when moving from an older property.
Because they’re so efficient, the homes are eligible to be purchased with “green” mortgages, available from selected lenders. We can put buyers in touch with independent financial advisors with access to the whole mortgage market to help them access the best mortgage products and rates available.
Along with new homes, we’re creating more than 3,000 square metres of open space at Winnington Place. This includes a wildlife corridor, plus allotments and play areas for residents to enjoy.
Located between Northwich and Hartford, Winnington is close to a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes, and an excellent choice of schools; and there are plenty of parks, woodlands and scenic walks to enjoy nearby. It also has excellent road links to the M56 and A556 making it ideal for commuters.
