Lawrence Gardens is a sell out!

Lawrence Gardens is sold out

A NEW development of 72 homes in Barton has led to more than £750,000 being invested in the neighbourhood.

Anwyl Homes Lancashire recently sold the final home at its popular Lawrence Gardens development off Garstang Road.

The third site in the Preston area acquired by Anwyl, it’s now home to dozens of happy homeowners.

Managing director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire John Grime said:

“Work at Lawrence Gardens started in summer 2020 with strict social distancing protocols due to the pandemic. The team navigated those challenges and we were able to complete construction on schedule and recently welcomed the final homeowner to the new neighbourhood.

“On average we had around 30 people working on site daily to construct 50 private sale four-bedroom detached homes and 22 affordable properties, which provided a mix of shared ownership and rented homes. We’ve had lots of positive feedback from residents including numerous five-star reviews on Trustpilot. We’ve even had homeowners here recommend Anwyl to family and friends who’ve moved into homes on our other developments.”

Alongside building new homes, Anwyl made section 106 contributions to help support the growth of the local community totalling more than £750,000.

Funding agreed during the planning process was allocated towards primary and secondary education, highways improvements, local footpath improvements and travel plan provision. New junction works to improve safety and the speed of traffic approaching along Garstang Road were also funded.

“As a responsible homebuilder we take our commitment to supporting the neighbourhoods in which we operate seriously,”

John added.

“In Barton we made a number of voluntary contributions to good causes in the area to help ensure it remains a great place to live. For example, we helped makeover the outside space at St Mary and St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School including new seating area, planters, bird feeders and boxes. We also contributed towards upgrading playground markings. Barton Bowling Club received £500 and practical help towards making improvements to facilities at their home green. We also provided St Lawrence CofE Primary School with outdoor table tennis tables to give children access to fun activities that help promote wellbeing and fitness. A class from the school also enjoyed an educational visit to the development.”

While the final home at Lawrence Gardens has now been sold, Anwyl has homes available across Lancashire at Cross Fields in Catterall, Mill Green in Warton, Parr Meadows in Eccleston, Priory Gardens in Burscough and Stonebridge Fold in Longridge.
