# Lower rate mortgage option for home buyers in Holmes Chapel

Access to lower-rate mortgages and cheaper energy bills make our new homes in Holmes Chapel an attractive prospect.
We’ve seen strong demand at our [Victoria Mills](https://www.anwylhomes.co.uk/our-developments/victoria-mills/) development where the majority of homes have been sold and are occupied.
Part of the appeal has been the chance to be part of a new community within an established neighbourhood, along with the opportunity to enjoy lower running costs thanks to the energy efficiency of the homes.
Buyers now have the potential to make further savings as we’ve partnered with Own New to give buyers access to Rate Reducer mortgages.
An Own New Rate Reducer mortgage allows buyers to purchase a new build home with a lower interest rate mortgage. It’s a regular mortgage, available from selected lenders, just with lower monthly payments for the initial period.
Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “The broad mix of homes we’re building in Holmes Chapel has attracted a variety of purchasers. We’ve already sold out of some house types, but still have plenty of choices ranging from two-bedroom bungalows to four-bedroom detached family-sized homes. It’s well known that new homes are more energy efficient than their older equivalents, making them cheaper to run.
“What people may not realise is they may be able to further reduce the cost of living by with Own New Rate Reducer, which is exclusive to new homes. It’s a great solution for first-time buyers, families and downsizers alike. Through our partnership with Own New, we’ll pay a contribution to your lender. This means they’ll offer a more competitive interest rate during the initial period of your mortgage and you’ll enjoy lower monthly repayments.”
Current prices at Victoria Mills start from £289,995 for a three-bedroom Bretton.
It features a spacious lounge at the front, with an open-plan kitchen/diner at the rear, where everyone can share quality time. French doors offer lots of natural light from this sociable space and easy access to the garden. There’s also a cloakroom and storage area on this level.
Upstairs, all the bedrooms – two double and one single – are generously sized. Bedroom one benefits from a beautiful, luxurious en-suite shower room, while a further family bathroom means that busy mornings and bedtimes are never a problem.
Along with new homes, Victoria Mills includes a play area and areas of green open space for residents and the wider community to enjoy. A new pedestrian link from the development to the footpath on Eastgate Road provides easy access to the railway station and the centre of Holmes Chapel on foot.
