GOOD causes in Haydock and the surrounding area have the chance to receive funding ‘Love From Anwyl’.
We’re offering the voluntary initiative linked to its Sandon Gates development, where properties are currently being sold off plan, ahead of show homes opening this winter.
Head of brand and regional marketing Phoebe Davies explained: “The construction team is making good progress at Sandon Gates and we’re looking forward to opening show homes soon. While we’re in the early stages of our development, we want to help ensure that as the neighbourhood grows the surrounding area continues to thrive. As part of our commitment to being a thoughtful homebuilder we’re offering a community fund, known as Love from Anwyl. We’re keen to hear from good causes in and around Haydock in need of some financial assistance.”
Funding under Love from Anwyl will be released in phases, with the aim of supporting as many projects as possible. With that in mind, there’s a cap on the grants being offered of £1,500 per applicant.
“We’ve supported a host of different community projects in other areas via Love from Anwyl,” Phoebe added.
“We’re open to suggestions as to how we can support the community in Ingol. Based on how we’ve helped in other area it could be funding towards the cost of staging local events, including amateur dramatics productions; support for mental health groups; stocking the shelves of a foodbank or community library; providing equipment for schools or youth organisations; funding activities for people with additional needs or disabilities or kitting out sports clubs.”
Love From Anwyl is a voluntary scheme attached to 122 new homes being built on land west of Lodge Lane.
Along with high quality energy efficient homes, new areas of public open space will be created for the community to enjoy, including a central green space and play areas.
Existing trees and hedgerows bordering the development will be retained and additional planting carried out to enhance the setting. We will also create hedgehog highways, with gaps in fences for the creatures to travel through, and install bird and bat boxes on buildings and trees.
