Members of Women in Property North West were welcomed to a former military site in Deeside to see how we’re breathing new life into the area.
The group enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Summers Bridge, gaining first-hand insight into our transformation of the former RAF Sealand site into a vibrant new community.
Hosted by our Cheshire and North Wales managing director Mark Calvert and land buyer Maya Waud, the event was attended by women from across the region’s property and construction sector.
Women in Property’s mission is to promote opportunity, knowledge sharing and greater diversity across the built environment.
Representative Rachel Hollins said: “Huge thanks to Anwyl for the warm welcome and for sharing their journey with us at Summers Bridge. It was inspiring to see the transformation of MOD land into quality homes that will help shape a thriving new community. Events like this are central to what we do at Women in Property, and help to connect professionals and expand knowledge and opportunities across the sector.”
Maya said: “It was wonderful to welcome Women in Property North West to Summers Bridge. This is a significant project for Deeside, and it was a pleasure to
showcase the progress being made and the high-quality homes we’re building here. Engaging with professionals from across the industry is really valuable so it was great to spend a day sharing experiences with other women in the industry, which I believe can strengthen the sector as a whole.”
Summers Bridge forms part of the wider Airfields redevelopment, where we’re delivering 183 new homes ranging from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom family properties. The recent opening of a new Aldi supermarket and local amenities has enhanced the area’s appeal.
