We’re partnering with Bike Chester for the eighth time in a row to support the city’s much-loved cycling event.
Taking place on Sunday, August 17, Bike Chester invites riders of all levels to explore one of three scenic routes around the city and surrounding countryside.
Through ongoing support, we’ve has shown our commitment to wellbeing and active lifestyles. The partnership also highlights our two nearby developments – Deva Green in Chester and Summers Bridge in Deeside – both ideal places to live for cycling enthusiasts and growing families alike.
Perfectly positioned for access to a wide range of cycle routes, the two developments are linked via the National Cycle Route 568, which offers a scenic and practical route for commuting into Chester or Wirral or more leisurely rides.
Phoebe Davies, our head of regional marketing, said: “We’re proud to be continuing our partnership with Bike Chester for the eighth year. It’s a wonderful community event that aligns perfectly with our values – encouraging healthy, sustainable living and connecting people to the places they love in their local area.
“We’re pleased to provide homes in locations that support active lifestyles. Deva Green and Summers Bridge both offer direct links to some of the region’s best cycling routes. Residents can enjoy easy, car-free connections between the two developments and beyond, including into Chester city centre, local schools, parks and the wider North Wales, Cheshire and Wirral landscape, helping to make cycling a part of everyday life.”
With routes for all abilities and a fun, friendly atmosphere, Bike Chester is a highlight of the summer for cyclists across the region. Starting at Chester Rugby Club, there is a choice of three routes of 29, 46 and 76 miles long.
Richard Best, of event organisers Iconic Cycling Events, said: “Now in its 10th year, the event aims to attract 500 cyclists of all abilities from across Cheshire and beyond, many riding for their own charitable cause. Routes this year will take riders south of Chester with the longest distance heading off into Wales and taking in the iconic Horseshoe Pass at Llangollen.
“The event is reliant on the support of the region's businesses such as Anwyl Homes, who are keen to promote cycling across the region as a sustainable, green travel option as well as supporting our ambition to get the nation fitter.”
