# Summer Launch for new homes in Eccleston
26 Apr 2023 [Zoe Evans](https://blog.anwylhomes.co.uk/blog/author/zoeevans)
Work on new homes in Eccleston is underway with the first properties due to be released for sale this summer, Anwyl Homes has confirmed. Work on new homes in Eccleston is underway with the first properties due to be released for sale this summer, Anwyl Homes has confirmed. The company has secured reserved matters approval to build 34 new homes across a 3.67 acre site south of Parr Lane. The land was acquired from Metacre, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northern Trust Company.
> Sales director for Anwyl Homes Lancashire Matthew Gould said: “There’s been very few new homes built in the Eccleston area in recent years. During the planning process we reviewed the local market and set out to address gaps in supply and demand. We’ve been receiving enquiries from potential purchasers since we announced the acquisition of the land late last year. This has intensified since our plans were approved and work to prepare the land for new homes began. “We’re aiming to release the first homes for sale in the summer and hope to welcome the first residents of [Parr Meadows](https://www.anwylhomes.co.uk/our-developments/parr-meadows/) into their new homes early in 2024. With just 22 private sale homes, we anticipate demand will be high and would encourage prospective purchasers to register their interest so that we can keep them up to speed about our launch plans.”
Guide prices for the four and five-bedroom homes are from £510,000. The development will also include 12 affordable properties available via a registered social landlord. It’s anticipated that the development will be complete by early 2025. Construction will be overseen by Owen Creer, who joined Anwyl last year, with an average of 40 people working on the homes on a typical day. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and with easy access to the village centre and its amenities, the homes at Parr Meadows are expected to be much sought-after. There’s a supermarket nearby, plus a host of independent and smaller businesses including bakers, coffee shops, takeaways, pubs and restaurants. There’s also a library, post office, clothing boutiques and gift shops. There are several parks and playgrounds in the nearby area, as well as a cricket club and football club. Anwyl make a green space contribution of almost £19,000 and contribute more than £54,000 towards playing pitches locally. The homebuilder will retain mature trees and hedgerows bounding the development and provide a new area of public open space in the south west corner of the site. Anwyl Homes Lancashire is currently operating across live sites in Barton, Longridge, Catterall, Warton and Burscough, in Lancashire, Winnington, Cheshire and in Heywood, Greater Manchester Potential purchasers can register interest in the new homes coming soon to Eccleston via [https://www.anwylhomes.co.uk/our-developments/parrmeadows-eccleston](https://www.anwylhomes.co.uk/our-developments/parr-meadows/).
