Anwyl homes has pitched in to help 45th Burscough Methodists Scouts purchase new camping equipment. We have pitched in to help 45th Burscough Methodist Scouts purchase new camping equipment. The Scout group was among the successful applicants to receive funding from ‘Love From Anwyl’, a community pot supporting good causes near the Priory Gardens development.
Cub leader Stacey Dolan said:
“Our Scout group has been a part of Burscough for generations. Scouting provides opportunities for children to develop self-confidence, build teamwork and leadership skills and, of course, gives them massive opportunities including camping, outdoor activities and international trips.
“The money received from Anwyl has been used for equipment for our camps to ensure we can continue to offer amazing opportunities for many years to come. We’re in the process of replacing lots of the old tents, stoves and benches. We also have a new section for four and five-year-olds, known as Squirrels. With some more tents we’ll be able to take them camping too. We appreciate every penny of funding we receive as it enables us to offer children experiences they may never have otherwise.”
Our Love From Anwyl Fund is attached to Priory Gardens, on Chancel Way, where Anwyl is building 267 new homes. It’s a voluntary scheme, being offered in addition to local investment agreed during the planning process. Other good causes in Burscough and the surrounding area to benefit from the Love From Anwyl fund, include Sporting Challenge, Burscough Village Primary School, 29th Ormskirk Burscough St John’s Scout Group and Community Lives Matter.
Area sales manager for Anwyl Homes Lancashire Amy Houlihan said:
“Through the Love From Anwyl initiative we’re giving back to the local community as part of a commitment to being a thoughtful homebuilder. The projects we’ve backed are supporting the emotional, physical and mental wellbeing of local residents.
“For example, 45th Burscough Methodist Scouts will be able to enjoy outdoor adventures using their new camping equipment. This will help their personal development as they will learn new skills and gain experience, while also creating lifelong memories.”
Priory Gardens features a choice of three and four-bedroom homes. Show homes at the development are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information visit the Anwyl Homes website.
