We’ve donated towards the renovation of two sensory rooms at a Llandudno school.
Our Parc Bodafon development is close to Ysgol y Gogarth, so we’ve contributed £5,500 towards the makeovers, which included generous donations from several of our sub-contractors.
Lisa Kovacs, headteacher at Ysgol y Gogarth, said: “The contribution from Anwyl has helped towards the refurbishment of our multi-sensory immersive spaces, which all the children appreciate. Both rooms are constantly in use by around half of our pupils.”
The rooms include interactive floor and wall programmes that encourage movement, communication and interaction, provided by Sensory Guru.
Phoebe Davies, regional marketing manager for Anwyl Homes, said: “The new sensory rooms look wonderful, and we’re pleased to have contributed towards these outstanding new-look facilities at Ysgol y Gogarth. We’d also like to thank our partners who also generously donated towards the total; John Kelly Construction, BGB Scaffolding, Rooms & Views, Roof Plus and Trustgreen.”
Ysgol y Gogarth is a day and residential school for children and young people with additional learning needs between the ages of three and 19. Llys Gogarth, a purpose-built residential facility alongside the school, offers an integrated residential education and development care package to young people between seven and 19-years-old. It also provides a respite service for families.
We’re building on neighbouring land, off Nant-y-Gamer Road. Once complete, our Parc Bodafon will feature 49 homes across four-acres.
