Take a look at Linda Parkers hints and tips for getting your home insta-ready this Christmas...
Ahh … the excitement and pleasure of having your first Christmas in your new Anwyl home! As it’s nearly December it’s officially OK to start decorating and getting ready for the big day and making sure your home is Instagram-ready!
There are so many beautiful decorations around at the moment, it can be a bit overwhelming to step into the stores and make decisions … Perhaps you have boxes of decs to unpack, or perhaps you are starting from scratch, but try to have a plan or theme going on, to link each room together. And of course, we think it’s an excellent idea to decorate every room, not just the main living rooms and hall! We would absolutely love to see your Christmas snaps of your new Anwyl home on Instagram, so be sure to tag us

White ChristmasOne of our favourite looks, as seen above is an opulent White & Silver theme, it goes with most colour schemes, and can adds a sophisticated feel. It’s good for modern homes, and doesn’t disrupt existing colourful features. And think of the luxe aspect too – treat your home to a couple of faux sheepskins to emphasise that cosy Xmas theme. Vintage StyleWe think the first Christmas in your new home is the time to be creative with your camera - take some detail shots of your decorations! Make your own hanging decorations by suspending baubles on coloured twine or string … this beautifully simple idea uses vintage glass baubles, available as ready-made garlands or individual baubles, from a selection at Cox & Cox

Shelf Styling Many Anwyl homes benefit from a spacious open plan kitchen, if so why not get creative and display all those festive goodies and extra china for guests … string some garlands along the shelves, find room for a little display on the worktop, (such as candles or baubles on a board or shallow bowl) and emphasise that festive feeling. A Red, Gold & Green theme works well here, accessories are from a selection at

Picture This Another idea for all you Instagrammers out there! Remember, to get the best pictures, put your photo setting on ‘square’ to make your shots the best proportion for the grid … and why not keep your family updated on your Christmas prep too? Take some stylish little close-up shots of your festive baking efforts! Natural Elements Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most appealing, so think about creating some woodland-style, nature-themed displays throughout the home – perhaps on the dining table, breakfast bar and coffee tables. Natural wood bowls with oranges or clementines, cones and sprigs of greenery and holly are naturally perfect … this rustic wooden bowl is from a selection at
