We’re opening a new show home in Shavington this Easter weekend as our Queen’s Meadow development continues to take shape.
Launching on Good Friday, it is the first completed home at the development ahead of our first homeowners moving in later this spring.
Queen’s Meadow is part of the wider Shavington Triangle project and represents its final phase.
Showcasing our range of homes available, The Oakmere is a four-bedroom detached property and has been professionally styled and furnished by Middlewich-based Lifestyle Interiors.
Interior designer Sophie King said the on-trend design has been targeted at young families but the show home will appeal to a wide range of buyers.
“Warm earthy tones like rust and terracotta continue to be popular for 2024 and we’re seeing a new trend of soft dusty blues – so we’ve paired these two together to create a warm, calming scheme,” Sophie said.
Accessories and furniture follow the current trend for curved, organic shapes from rounded, chunky corners on upholstery, to wavy details on vases and mirrors. We’ve chosen furniture with fluted and ribbed detailing, including the sideboard and side tables, and created a bespoke feature chimney breast in the lounge as we continue to see these trends for this year.”
The Oakmere features an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area, with a separate utility and cloakroom, and opens up through large patio doors to the rear garden. To the front is a spacious lounge. Upstairs are three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and a further single bedroom and family bathroom.
Sophie added: “We’ve had fun in the children’s bedrooms, reflecting the personalities of our imagined residents. Our boy’s room is themed around skateboarding and a younger girl’s room features a joyful ice cream theme, with the area well known for its quality ice cream thanks to nearby Snugbury’s and Whitby Morrison’s world-famous ice cream vans.”
As well as inspiring buyers to purchase one of our new homes, the show home will also provide interior inspiration for those about to move into a new property or simply planning to redecorate.
Sophie’s advice for anyone looking for interior inspiration and hoping to recreate the show home look is to build from a neutral base. “If you don’t feel confident working with colour, keep the base light and neutral and gradually introduce colour into your home with accents such as cushions, a feature wall and maybe a statement chair,” she added.
Our 84 homes at Queen’s Meadow are among the most energy-efficient new builds on the market. They feature solar panels, A-rated boilers and electric vehicle charging points. They also boast wider cavities to external walls with increased levels of insulation, along with increased levels of ground floor and roof/loft insulation. Energy-efficient light fittings are included throughout, as are water-efficient fixtures and fittings to help reduce water usage.
Graeme Gibb, sales director for Cheshire and North Wales, said: “It’s exciting to open our new show home and welcome our first residents to Queen’s Meadow. Lifestyle Interiors has done a wonderful job styling our Oakmere show home to show off the high specification of our interiors and we hope prospective buyers will love it as much as we do.
“Our homes offer huge potential savings on energy bills compared to older properties. We’d encourage anyone looking to move to come and speak to us and we can put them in touch with independent mortgage specialists for advice.”
Located off Newcastle Road, Shavington, Queen’s Meadow will feature a range of 59 two, three and four-bedroom homes, including bungalows, for private sale; 25 affordable homes to meet local need; plus areas of green space and a new play area for residents to enjoy.
Work began on the development in February 2023 and the first residents are set to move in at the end of May.
Future residents at Queen’s Meadow will enjoy all the local village amenities of Shavington on their doorstep, including a Co-op, pub and village primary school, while being close to Nantwich and Crewe and nearby Shavington Academy.
