Chorlton homes set for sale in the new year

A CGI streetscene of Dalton Fields

The first wave of new homes at our development in Chorlton, Manchester, is poised to go on sale in January 2025.

We’re inviting potential purchasers to register their interest in the private sale properties at Dalton Fields to be first in line for updates when the new homes in Chorlton go on sale.

Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “We are looking forward to launching sales at Dalton Fields, located in the hugely sought after Manchester suburb of Chorlton. New homes in this area are a rarity and we’ve already seen strong interest in the properties since work started on site in June. Already we have more than 500 potential purchasers on our database. We would urge other interested buyers to register for updates on our webpage.”

The Wilbraham Road development is bringing a total of 65 much needed new private sale and affordable homes to the area. The homes are being built on land formerly known as Harry Dalton Fields, which closed to the public in 2016 and was owned by The Greater Manchester Youth Federation.

As part of the planning agreement, we will contribute almost £558,000 to the local community, with the majority of the funding earmarked for sports and playing field provision.

While there are around 40 people employed on the building site on any typical day, it is estimated the venture will also contribute significantly to the local economy, supporting employment more widely of 225 people and generating more than £1.7m in tax revenue*.

Work is well underway on the development, with the access roads being formed and foundations being created for the initial plots. The first homes will be released for sale “off plan” in January. Show homes are scheduled to open in June, with the first homes ready for new owners shortly afterwards, in summer 2025.

Graeme added: “Our development will include three and four-bedroom homes for private sale, plus 13 affordable homes, seven of which will be designated for social rent and six for shared ownership. The homes will all be highly energy efficient, using air source heat pumps to provide heating and hot water in place of traditional gas boilers, and each will have an electric vehicle charging point.”

The development is expected to take around another two years to complete.

Prices on the first homes will be available in January.
