Celebrating a milestone in Shavington

Written by Anwyl Homes | 28 Feb 2025

We’ve now sold more than half of the homes we’re building at Queen’s Meadow, in Shavington, near Crewe, and 28 new homeowners have already moved in.

Queen’s Meadow is part of the wider Shavington Triangle project and represents its final phase.

In total, we’re building 84 homes at Queen’s Meadow. They are among the most energy efficient new builds on the market, featuring solar panels, A-rated boilers and electric vehicle charging points. They also boast wider cavities to external walls with increased levels of insulation, along with increased levels of ground floor and roof / loft insulation. Energy efficient light fittings are included throughout, as are water efficient fixtures and fittings to help reduce water usage.

Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “Queen’s Meadow has been a really popular development since we launched sales in spring 2023. We’re delighted to have sold more than half of the homes here and welcomed 28 new families to this blossoming new community. Our award-winning site manager Neil Lally and his team have done a wonderful job bringing our plans for the site to fruition and building homes we are proud to welcome our customers into.”

Neil scooped a prestigious Pride in the Job “Quality Award” from the National Home Building Council (NHBC) for his management of the Queen’s Meadow development in July last year. The Pride in the Job Awards have been running for 44 years and provide a benchmark for exceptional site managers.

Once complete Queen’s Meadow, located off Newcastle Road, will feature a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, including bungalows, plus areas of green space and a new play area for residents to enjoy.

Homeowners will have all the local village amenities of Shavington on their doorstep, including a Co-op, pub and village primary school, while being close to Nantwich and Crewe and nearby Shavington Academy.

A new four-bedroom Cheltenham view home is now open for visitors alongside the Oakmere show home. Laid out over three floors, the Cheltenham is available as a detached or semi-detached design, with a living room and open-plan kitchen/diner to the ground floor.

The first floor is home to three spacious bedrooms, one with an en-suite, while the impressive premier suite on the second floor also has its own en-suite.

Prices at Queen’s Meadow start from £239,995.
